Pizza is easy to make, yet very nourishing and tasty food for your family. I like making pizza at home, fillings are always generous and pizza is juicy and fresh! Yum!
For dough:
300 ml of warm water
1.5 tbsp of yeast
1 tsp of salt
1,5 tsp of sugar
1 cup of whole wheat flour
Plain flour as needed
For filling:
You can use any vegetables and meat I used:
50 grams of olive oil
300 gr of meat
1 onion, peeled and chopped well
Tomato paste
Capsicum, cleaned from seeds and sliced
Mushrooms, sliced thinly
Tomatoes, sliced thinly
garlic cloves, sliced very thinly
Some cheddar and some mozzarella cheese, grated
First of all you have to make dough. Mix together salt, sugar and water, add in yeast and mix again. Put in 1 cup of whole wheat flour, mix and then start adding plain flour until you will form nice and soft dough. It must be a little sticky, but not too soft. Cover dough and put in warm place for about 1.5 -2 hours.
Meanwhile prepare filling. heat oil slightly and put in onions. Fry until onions are soft and then add in meat. Fry until meat is light brown. Add in salt. Set aside.
Prepare all the vegetables and slice them separately.
When dough is ready, form flat circle or rectangle with a slightly high edges. (Depending on the size you can make 3-4 pizzas) Brush tomato paste all over the surface. Put in 4-5 tbsp of meat and layer evenly. Put tomato slices, then capsicum, mushrooms, garlic. At the end grate cheese on top and bake until crust is golden and cheese is slightly golden.
Serve and enjoy!
